Crime prevention message / Neges atal troseddau

Dear Residents / Pawb

                                                         ****BE VIGILANT*****

We are STILL having reports of bogus /cold callers targeting the elderly in our locality.

Elderly persons are easily identified by Key safes, disability appliances at the front of the property, or neglected gardens.

Today, a 97-year-old man, was a victim of cold callers, requesting they attend to a loose tile on his roof.  The male, who has disabilities and poor sight, has handed over a signed cheque for the job to be carried out.  The males have removed a further cheque.

Needless to say, the work was never required, nor completed.

Thankfully the cheque was cancelled, and no money was removed from his account.

Please keep a look out on your elderly neighbours and spread this information far and wide, to prevent further distress to the vulnerable in our communities.

If you see any suspicious vehicles, take a note of the registration.

Please report the incident to us on 101

NEVER ACCEPT ANY JOB OFFERED FROM A STRANGER AT YOUR DOOR

NEVER HAND OVER ANY MONEY

NEVER ALLOW THEM INTO YOUR HOME.
